Music Connection Review 11/22/04
The Galaxy Theater, Santa Ana
Bob Leggett
Material: Gias Fix is the total package hot pop-rock songs that exude sexuality and ooze with desire. These ladies have gorgeous, buff hard-bodies that emit a seductive, totally accessible look resulting in one of the hottest acts this side of hell. The music is so good that you can almost forget the sheer beauty of the ladies themselves although the eye candy is a definite plus.
Musicianship: Every member of this group is incredible on their respective instruments. Stoddard was particularly impressive with some unbelievable guitar rifts, which meshed beautifully with the down-home bass of Duarte...
Performance: Gias Fix opened with a song about a topic on everyones mind sex. The set flowed smoothly and featured the knockout vocals of Morgan, who sounded like Ann Wilson on "Hanging On." Stoddard was the dominant musician, with a nearly flawless stage presence. She was very ably assisted by Duartes bottom line. This was a total team effort and the result was a night that was both a visual and aural success. Flowing from rock to pop to surf and back to rock, Gias Fix took the audience hostage and didnt release them until both had their fill. The crowd responded by filling the dance floor and getting into the groove, especially during the bands rousing closing cover of "Proud Mary," which did the Turners proud.
Summary: Gias Fix offers something for everyone to enjoy a hot rock-pop sound combined with gyrating hips, revealing outfits and girls who are not afraid to show their sexuality. Their name could very well become a buzzword this year. In fact, with their talent and looks, they could take this ride all the way to the top.
